Terms of Service

Use of Syncratic is governed by clear operational responsibilities and customer-controlled data boundaries.

These terms describe the baseline rules for accessing the Syncratic portal, APIs, governed ingestion workflows, and connected enterprise knowledge services.

Effective date: April 8, 2026

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Syncratic, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service scope

Syncratic provides governed ingestion, retrieval, reasoning, audit, and operational tooling for enterprise knowledge workflows. Features may evolve over time, and some capabilities may depend on configuration, deployment model, subscription scope, or third-party services.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, API keys, and connected service authorizations. You must use the service only through authorized identities and in accordance with your organization's access policies.

Customer data

You retain responsibility for your data, documents, prompts, external connector content, audit records, and knowledge intelligence. Syncratic does not claim ownership, possession, or operational control of that content. You represent that you have the right to use and control that data within your deployment.

Acceptable use

You may not use Syncratic to violate law, infringe rights, interfere with service operations, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or process data in ways your organization is not authorized to control.

Third-party services

Some functionality depends on third-party infrastructure, identity providers, model services, cloud storage providers, and other subprocessors. Their availability and policies may affect service behavior, especially in customer-controlled deployments.

No guarantee of perfect outputs

Search, retrieval, and generated answers are intended to support informed work, not replace human judgment. Customers remain responsible for validating decisions, especially in legal, financial, compliance, safety, or other high-impact contexts.

Security and incident response

Syncratic applies safeguards intended to protect service integrity, credentials, and collected telemetry. Customers remain responsible for protecting their own controlled data environments and must promptly notify Syncratic of suspected misuse, exposed credentials, or security incidents affecting the platform.

Telemetry and model improvement

Syncratic may collect operational telemetry, performance metrics, and model-behavior signals to improve reliability and support model enhancement and tuning. This does not change customer ownership or control of workspace content.

Suspension and termination

Syncratic may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, security threats, nonpayment, or legal requirements. Customers may stop using the service subject to contract terms, retention obligations, and orderly offboarding requirements.

Disclaimers and liability

Except as expressly agreed in a governing contract, the service is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syncratic disclaims implied warranties and limits liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Changes to terms

Syncratic may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
